At the beginning of my career, I was a teammate and then a team captain. I successfully managed projects, recruited staff, and was at the heart of a human organization with shared objectives. Through this sport and my own journey, I now understand what a team needs to function effectively and win. Requests for seminars subsequently increased.
Initially, I conducted conferences and introductory sessions, as well as team-building activities in outdoor sports for my partners. As requests, particularly for seminars, multiplied, I decided to create the KBO event agency in Le Touquet to meet the needs of companies in all sectors and local authorities. Karine Baillet needs no introduction. A high-level athlete, explorer, and passionate entrepreneur, she has traveled the world on expeditions in the most demanding environments. Drawing on these human and sporting experiences, she founded Karine Baillet Organisation (KBO) in 2008 with one ambition: to share the values that drive her – pushing boundaries, teamwork, and resilience – through inspiring events, seminars, and experiences for businesses.
Hélène Compignie
A true right-hand woman to Karine, Hélène is a graduate of ESC Lille. Formerly a marketing and communications research analyst in the industry, she now brings her expertise in project management, organization, and client relations to KBO. A passionate outdoor sports enthusiast, she supports Karine daily in the agency’s development, event coordination, and project monitoring, thus contributing to the success of every project.
The team is also strengthened by Hortense, project manager, who assists KBO with event coordination, communication, and project monitoring.
Each year, KBO also welcomes interns from sports management schools. Inès and Nala actively participate in event organization and discover the various facets of the events industry.
