Seminar – Orienteering Challenge

After you are divided the roles: map reading, compass,  timing, reading clues, … go on a big treasure hunt as a team!

Get as many clues or beacons in your environment as possible in a given time and solve the puzzles that will be available to you. There is no point running in the wrong direction, it is better to walk in the right direction… Thinking, strategy are in order.

Objectives of the seminar

It is up to everyone to optimise their role to bring the team to success; individual performance at the service of the collective.

Options
We offer several options for our teambuildings:
-Urban: clues/beacons on the main places of the city where your activity takes place
-In the middle of the forest
-By the sea
-Simple tags or puzzles to decipher
-Eco-treasures: during this activity Nature collect a maximum of waste. The organisation will equip you to collect! During this activity, you will be made aware of sustainable development (workshops and puzzles)

Number: without limitation of number; adaptable according to the sporting level of the group

Orienteering Challenge during your seminar!

It is a real discovery of your environment that we offer you in this orientation course. You will walk through the trails, discover the most beautiful coastal places, magical viewpoints! Between your trips, fun workshops will be offered with, sometimes, puzzles to solve in a team. You will discover the forest side and the sea side of Le Touquet Paris Plage.

Presentation of the treasure hunt teambuilding

Before starting your activities, several teams of up to 5 people will be formed either by lottery or determined upstream. These teams will remain unchanged from the beginning to the end of the Challenge. After you have divided the roles: map reading, compass, timing, hint reading, … you will go as a team in a big treasure hunt!

Once the teams have been set up, you will be briefed so that you can explain all your questions. We’ll show you the rules of the game. We’ll explain how to use a compass. You will also be given a quick introduction to reading the orientation card.

Get as many clues or tags as possible from your environment. Do not take the time to stroll, the clock is running; a time limit will be determined at the start of your activity.

On your route, the tags found will save you bonus time or if you have opted for clues keep them carefully to solve the final puzzle! There is no point running in the wrong direction, it is better to walk in the right direction… Communication, reflection and mutual assistance are essential for this fun challenge.

After working sessions, come and enjoy the sea and the beach to get some fresh air through this Treasure Hunt.

Purpose of the treasure hunt seminar

It’s up to everyone to optimise their role to bring the team to success. Remember when the teams are composed, everyone will have a role to play, guaranteeing the good performance of the team.

Individual performance comes at the service of the collective. Only we go faster but together we go further. It is the expertise that each brings to the group that will maximise the effectiveness of the group.

This orientation can take place without any limitation on the number. Ideally, teams of up to 5 people should be set up so that everyone can participate and take an active part in the workshops.

All the activities offered are accessible to everyone and can be adapted to the group’s level of sportsmanship. No activity is mandatory, we offer each participant to participate. Everyone is free to decide whether or not to participate on a challenge.

A teambuilding adaptable to your expectations.

The basic activity of each orientation pathway is orientation. It can be on foot or by mountain bike. Themes can be set up to go further in your working groups or on a theme of the host environment (fauna/flora, sustainable environment, host city, …). We generally recommend an activity over a period of 3 hours including 2 hours of activities (arrival of the group at 2 pm for an end with presentation of the prizes around 5 pm).

On each treasure hunt, we can offer you several options. We have “refuelling” breaks in the middle of your journey. On challenges lasting a full day, we can provide you with a picnic or lunch break option. We have collaborated with service providers for several years and we know the nicest places for your gourmet breaks.

The length of the orientation course can vary from 2 hours to 1/2 days depending on the time available. It is achievable in all weather and all year round. In the winter it is possible to do it at night by means of headlamps that we provide. We can also provide you with k-ways, windbreaks in case of rain. The trees of the forest will protect you and you will quickly forget the weather, with your head in your riddles.

At the award ceremony we can offer you different “local” lots that very often delight the participants. In most cases, the customer chooses to offer everyone a souvenir lot that we can prepare in advance. A book by Karine Baillet on her journey, a sweet, salty lot or a symbolic object of your company that you want to share.

We work on the city of Touquet Paris-Plage but we can also work on other locations. Our teams move easily. We have already organised orientation courses in Lyon, Paris, Bordeaux, in the Paris Region, in Deauville, at several locations in the Hauts de France. We adapt to the terrain and your seminar environment!

At the end of each treasure hunt, we will provide you with a summary file bringing together the composition of the different teams, the programme of activities, the detailed results as well as some souvenir photos. We can also provide, according to your wishes and your budget, a photographer or a capture to capture all these beautiful moments. A video editing of your orientation course can also be done.
